NEXA Lending Names Geri Farr Chief Executive Officer
NEXA Lending announced a leadership change on September 8, 2026. NEXA Lending named Geri Farr CEO as Mike Kortas moved into the Executive Partner role, separating day-to-day operations from growth and innovation at the mortgage company.
What changed
Geri Farr was named Chief Executive Officer. Mike Kortas moved from CEO to Executive Partner, which the company described as NEXA’s highest earned level of leadership, and is not stepping away from NEXA.
- Leader: Geri Farr
- Role: Chief Executive Officer
- Effective: Not specified in the announcement
- Announcement date: September 8, 2026
Leadership background
Farr joined NEXA in 2025 after a career spent leading organizations through growth, transition and scale, with experience across wholesale and distributed retail. She was Kortas’s manager at NOVA Home Loans, and the company said the relationship between Farr and Kortas reaches back nearly two decades.
The mandate
NEXA said the new structure separates the responsibility of operating the company from the responsibility of imagining what the company becomes next, with Farr running day-to-day operations while Kortas focuses on growth and innovation. Farr said her responsibility as CEO is to make sure NEXA has the leadership, discipline, infrastructure and execution necessary to support where Kortas and the Executive Partners want to take the company next.
Why this matters for GTM teams
Executive appointments can precede changes in strategy, operating cadence, hiring, partnerships, and technology priorities. The useful signal is not the title alone: teams should watch the new leader’s stated mandate, prior playbook, organizational scope, and the initiatives announced during the first two quarters.
Source and methodology
This leadership profile is based on the company’s announcement. Roles, transition timing, and biographical details are presented as announced; SalesTools Research does not infer undisclosed succession plans.
