Leadership background
Whitehead joined Matthews from Lincoln Electric Holdings, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and President, Americas Welding, a business Matthews said represents more than $2.5 billion in annual revenue. An electrical engineer and patent attorney, he joined Lincoln Electric in 2005 as Chief Counsel, Intellectual Property, and served as President, Global Automation, Cutting and Additive Solutions from 2019 through 2025, a business Matthews said he more than doubled to over $1 billion in revenue.
