Leadership background
Ghingo has served as president and a Hormel Foods board member since July 2025, after rejoining the company in 2024 to lead its Retail business. He spent more than 15 years at Mondelēz International and later served as president of plant-based foods and beverages at The WhiteWave Foods Company. He was president of Applegate Farms, a Hormel Foods subsidiary, from 2018 to 2022, and then CEO of a snacking company backed by Kainos Capital.

Board chairman Bill Newlands said that he and the board believe Hormel Foods will be well positioned under Ghingo to drive its modernization agenda, accelerate sustainable growth and create long-term value for shareholders. Ghingo said he is energized to build on the company’s foundation by investing in its brands, modernizing how it operates and creating lasting value for customers, consumers, team members and shareholders.
