Apnimed Appoints Kevin R. Lind Chief Executive Officer
Apnimed announced a leadership change on June 8, 2026. Apnimed appointed Board Chair Kevin R. Lind as CEO, succeeding founder Lawrence G. Miller, who will become Vice Chair, as the company builds capabilities toward a potential commercialization of AD109.
What changed
Kevin R. Lind was named Chief Executive Officer. Founder Lawrence G. Miller, MD, who has served as CEO since 2018, will transition to Vice Chair of the Board as part of what the company called a planned leadership transition.
- Leader: Kevin R. Lind
- Role: Chief Executive Officer
- Effective: June 2, 2026
- Announcement date: June 8, 2026
Leadership background
Lind previously served as Apnimed’s Board Chair. He co-founded Longboard Pharmaceuticals and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer from February 2020 to December 2024, when H. Lundbeck A/S acquired the company for $2.6 billion. Earlier, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Arena Pharmaceuticals and held healthcare investing roles at TPG and healthcare investment banking roles at Lehman Brothers.
The mandate
Apnimed said Lind will lead the company as it builds capabilities toward a potential commercialization of AD109 for obstructive sleep apnea, which is now in the regulatory phase of development in the U.S. The company said a potential PDUFA target action date is expected in the first quarter of 2027, subject to FDA acceptance of the NDA for review.
Why this matters for GTM teams
Executive appointments can precede changes in strategy, operating cadence, hiring, partnerships, and technology priorities. The useful signal is not the title alone: teams should watch the new leader’s stated mandate, prior playbook, organizational scope, and the initiatives announced during the first two quarters.
Source and methodology
This leadership profile is based on the company’s announcement. Roles, transition timing, and biographical details are presented as announced; SalesTools Research does not infer undisclosed succession plans.
