What changed

AIR said it has established operations in an approximately 20,000-square-foot space at the 775-acre SunTrax campus and will expand its presence as operations grow. The company has conducted flight operations near West Palm Beach since August 2025, plans to begin U.S. manufacturing of its AIR ONE personal eVTOL and an autonomous heavy-lift cargo aircraft by the end of the year, and said it intends to hire locally.

Why the company chose this location
CEO and co-founder Rani Plaut said Florida makes sense for AIR because the company already has more than 300 customers in the state, along with a growing network of partners and suppliers. He also said Florida has one of the world’s strongest aviation ecosystems and proactive leadership on Advanced Air Mobility.
What the move signals
A headquarters opening or relocation can signal new hiring capacity, consolidation of operating teams, investment in a regional ecosystem, or a change in how a company serves customers and partners. For GTM teams, the useful next step is to watch for role openings, regional leadership appointments, vendor consolidation, and facilities-related initiatives connected to the move.
